The tutorial covered the basics of the IPv6 protocol, its operation, and key differences from IPv4. New features were discussed, including mobile IPv6, and the key IPv4/IPv6 integration and transition strategies. Standardization status within the IETF was included. The tutorial had a practical slant, using the deployment experiences and scenarios of the presenters and the IPv6 projects they have worked on to date.
